Birth

Bry knew she was meant to be a midwife when she was in her youth working on the border of Mexico. From the first birth she witnessed, she knew this would be her life’s work. Her attraction to midwifery lies within its unique authenticity, internal reflection, and primal rawness that it demands from everyone involved.  Birth is the sacred and messy threshold that unites the fiercest strength and softest surrender. Bry has seen midwifery practiced in multiple countries and US states, and countless different settings (home-birth, birth center, high-risk hospital). No matter the setting, midwifery has the ability to invite empowerment and healing within an individual, an entire community, and within the world at large.

In midwifery work, Bry desires to inspire awe and connection to something greater and more magical, within the birthing person, the family, and the community as a whole. Bry sees her work in midwifery and the healing arts as her greatest privilege; and she provides safe and evidence-based care that is reliably present but respectfully hands-off.

EARTH

Bry knows and lives by the Truth: humans are not separate from nature. She brings forth a belief that ones ability to be grounded within oneself, is parallel to ones ability to be in equitable and rooted relationship with the one great mother that is the midwife to all, Mother Earth. Bry teaches a form of yoga, Earth Ways Yoga, that is based in this same system of belief, and merges nature with the physical and spiritual sides of yoga. This type of yoga is founded in 5-Element theory and is a journey that invites one to more deeply connect with the ancient wisdom of their own body, the Essence, the elements, and the innate connection and place within nature.

ART

To Bry, being an artist is a way of life. It is to learn to be a humble witness of the awe and beauty that fills this world, and to be curious enough to birth that through ones own hands. It is the practice of seeing and more importantly listening, to what is taking place, inside and out.  Bry currently works most with the medium of watercolor. To her, watercolor is the ultimate practice in surrender, and learning from the different and magical elements that are all in relationship to create a piece. Bry is a commissioned artist with works that span from New York to California, and also the UK.
